Position will be Available for the 2024/2025 School Year

 

Job Summary: To provide high quality services and supports for students with significant special education needs. The PVE instructor will create and implement activities that introduce and prepare students with intellectual disabilities for a successful transition to employment and independent living after high school.  

 

Qualifications/Skills:

• Strong ability to work under the direction of the classroom teacher
• Strong ability to lead and provide direction to other assistants who work in the PVE program
• Strong ability to work with other classroom assistants and building staff
• Maintain excellent attendance history
• Must pass an Expanded Criminal History Check
• Hold minimum of high school diploma
• Maintain CPI certification

 

Physical Requirements: Must be able to pick up a minimum of 40 pounds to assist with transfers of students and to provide care for students who may be physically compromised.  Must be able to bend, kneel, and stand without assistance.  Must be willing to provide toileting support and care for students with such needs.
