Serv Safe Certification
Previous K-12 Experience
Managerial Experience recommended 
Knowledge of preparing, and serving bulk foods
Extensive Computer Knowledge
 
 
The Food Service Kitchen Manager is responsible for food preparation, baking, cooking meals, inventory control and cleaning as directed by the Food Service Director.  The Kitchen Manager is responsible for all reporting and records required by the USDA, IDOE and New Castle Food Service Department.  The Kitchen Manager will know all kitchen procedures; ensure that appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served.  Meet all requirements set forth for the Child Nutrition Program by all local, state, & federal guidelines.  The kitchen manager supervises all staff, assigns duties as necessary, and is responsible for the safety of students, staff and equipment.
