Job Description - Attendance Liaison 

Provide consistent support to students grades 6-12 (Middle/High School) in regards to achieving consistent school attendance. Assist in removing barriers and obstacles that prevent students from attending school. Maintain good relations with School Partners, Administration, Juvenile Probation, Community Stakeholders, Students, and Families. 

Attendance Incentives 

Support Middle School Weekly Perfect Attendance Lunch Booth Winners Select 5 students per grade level with perfect attendance for the week to have access to Booth Seating at lunch time. (Communicate with MS Administration every Friday morning for the following week. 

Coordinate the first Student Hangout Night in the Fall Semester 

Send/Create Invites to Attendee List 

Coordinate Parent/Staff Chaperones (including background check) 

Quarter (9 weeks) Excellent Attendance Middle School 

10 Day Student Prizes 

ARC Process 

Utilize Unverified (UNV) Daily MS Attendance List to make parent calls 

Log-in powerschool/edit Google Sheet 

3 & 6 Day Letters Mailed home via Attendance Secretary 

Monitor Overall Attendance Tracker for high flyers or inconsistent patterns Day 10 (identify/coordinate if needed) Parent Attendance Review Contract Meeting Call to schedule meetings

Middle School AP, Counselor, and TOR present 

High School Dean, Counselor, TOR, and AP when needed 

Prepare Contracts/Paperwork 

Hold Meetings

Provide Check Point/Accountability with Student and Family 

AIM Process 

Post ARC if unsuccessful the next steps apply 

Identify eligible students 

Communicate list/demographics with Juvenile Probation for letter to be sent

Arrive to Court and Facilitate Meeting 

Follow Up with Family Post-Meeting 

If progress does not arrive write formal truancy referral 

TUX/TTC Process 

Middle School 

Run a Weekly list of high flyers for both Tardy to School (TUX) 

and Tardy to Class (TTC) to submit to the Assistant Principal. Discuss any specific concerns. They will make decisions in regards to Lunch Detention or further actions. 

High School 

Receive Tardy to School slips daily from AP Secretary (return to AP Sec.) Send Warning Emails for 1-3 TUX 

Meet one-on-one with student who have received 4 TUX’s warranting a 

1-Hour After School Detention 

4+ Pass on to 11/12 Grade Dean of Students 

Attendance Report Sharing 

Meet weekly on Mondays at 10 AM with MS Counselors for Roundtable 

discussion/check in 

Attend MTSS Middle School Meeting 

Support MS and HS Attendance Secretaries (including 3 & 6 day letters) Attend Bi-Weekly MS Administration Meeting 

Attend Friday HS Counseling Meetings 

Attend School Justice Partnership Meetings local and County wide 

Attend Professional Development Conferences 

Attend MS ACR’s when asked by Teacher of Record (TOR) 

Communicate weekly with Juvenile Probation on students progress 

Connect with Powerschool Liaison for technology support 

Meet with MS/HS Administration consistently if not daily. 

School Responsibilities 

Supervise 8th Grade Lunch Duty 12:10 to 12:40 PM (Ask Question of the Day Serve on Middle School Advisory Committee 

Supervise Middle School Afternoon Car Dismissal Daily from 3:30 to 3:45 PM Attend both MS and HS All Staff Meetings/Functions 

Coordinate Middle School Daily Announcements

Post Via Google Classroom and Facebook Before start of 7th Hour Attend Monthly School Improvement Grant Stakeholder Meeting (SIG) Present on attendance date and new information
